The Nice Thing About Trilogies...

[Mass Effect! Woot!]

During the creation of Mass Effect 2, BioWare, intended to develop a segment of the story that would take place on the Citadel. This segment would be a nod back to the first game. [Or as they put it. "It would have been a callback to the first Mass Effect] Well, all I know is that, now I know something was left out I want to play it! [Good News Everyone!] The cut segment has been resurrected in Mass Effect 3. Lead Writer at BioWare told OXM [You remember these guys, if not look at the post below.] this.

"There was a Mass Effect 2 plot that was a kind of callback to the first Mass Effect that was going to be on the Citadel, and we cut it. But now it's made a resurrection in Mass Effect 3, so I'm happy, but I can't say what it is. That's the nice thing about trilogies, sometimes you get a second chance."

Well there you have it. More Mass Effect for your buck! [Free Inside Jokes to from the 1st game Included!]

[Curious? Yeah, Me Too.]

So the Rumor Wagon found out how to surprise us again. Out of nowhere, news from US OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) says that the developer People Can Fly, owned by Epic, [Original creators of Gears of War] has been commissioned to create a prequel to the Gears of War series.
[i.e. Pre Emergence Day]
Also, they say it's a Trilogy.... [Sweet.]

Surprising to say the least, but it could be awesome.

A Post of Titanic Proportions.

[That's not a real photo, that's CG.]

I Present, the Titanic
I'd like to introduce you to, ORM Entertainment. They've been working on a project that is reaches a level of stature that not even, Epic, or Awesome, can aspire to explain. They originally started working on this awe inspiring recreation of the doomed, but gorgeous Titanic. ORM stated with the CryEngine developed for Crysis 1. They stated with the game and made a mod for it that allowed them to use the games stellar graphics to bring their creation to life. As time passed and tech grew, they've been updating it constantly to the state it's reached now. the Titanic: Lost In The Darkness now boast the raw graphic power of the CryEngine 3

Truly, ORM is onto something great here.

And people said that playing with computer games would never amount to something...
[Uh-huh, yeah, sure they won't]

I hope your mind was sufficiently blown by the level of detail and accuracy. Like I said. Somehow Epic, and Awesome, just don't quite cut it.

G4 Talk'n Chief with Frankie.

[Fun Fact: This Picture is Worth 2,000 Words. *FACT*]

G4 recently got some face time with 343's Frank O'Conner. [He's their franchise director - Which means Frankie is the guy to got to for anything HALO]
Anyway, Frankie being the upstanding guy that [We Assume] he is, had a sit down with G4 and talked about the future of HALO. Why don't you have a look see?

Frankie Talks HALO
[Well, I like what he's think'n.]

I'll take all the HALO I can get. [Warning, Mini Rant Ahead] And anyone who thinks Microsoft is "Milking" HALO for all it's worth clearly never made something of value before. If you'd made a multimillion dollar franchise, you'd do to it too. [Jealous.] - [End of Rant]

What Could it Be?

[Helmets Advised]

OK, we've touched base on this, as of yet, unnamed new IP from BioWare. Some speculate that it could be a brand new Command & Conquer, others think maybe a new Mercenaries game. I can't say, but on December 10th at Spike's: VGA's we'll find out. Until then, below is a very [I can't stress this enough.] very, short teaser clip. Enjoy!

Chuck Norris is..... well, 'nuff said.

[Chuck's Hungry. GET THIS MAN A STEAK! NOW!!!!]

I could say stuff, I could do my lead in. Make a joke or two. Insult a fan or three. Any of those things, but it wouldn't do Mr. Norris justice. So I'll let the man himself speak. [Don't interrupt him, he'll roundhouse kick you so hard your great great great x700 Grandfather in the past will die from it; thus you will never have been born to interrupt him. So uh... just don't do it, k?] - [You know what else? You'd be responsible for a crap load of people missing out on life...and that would make you a douche. You don't wanna be a douche.]

ODST: "Feet First Into Hell - Hell Jumpers"

[Winning the war, one bullet at a time.]

Fans of both HALO and cinematography, have united. They're just a bunch of guys with cash, a camera, great replica ODST body armor and a CG guy. Check out their site for more info. HellJumper
Bottom line here. This is serious quality for a fan film and someone in Hollywood need's to get on the ASAP.

The Trailer I posted below is just a teaser to set up excitement. It's going to be a mini series and is based on that fantastic live action HALO 3: ODST trailer a few years back.

MGS:5 OMG!

[Sneak? Seank?! SNEAK?! Oh... there you are.]

OK, okay, so no surprise. Metal Gear Solid: 5 has been announced. You'd have to have been dropped as a kid, or never really played the games to be able to see why it's a no brainer, to not realize this was inevitable. The funny thing is that Hideo Kojima is involved once again. [He made all the previous Metal Gear games.] He's been try'n to get out of the Metal Gear game for a long time, but they keep pulling him back in! Regardless, news should sprout soon. [December most likely] You can read the official article here. Official PlayStation Magazine UK.

So there you have it! Metal Gear is back. The question is will it be on the PS4 or the PS4.
[Also, how they're suppose to un-age Snake. Should be fun to see. If he's in it at all; he better.]

HALO: Anniversary Kinect Features / Custom Challenges

[As A Side Note, the new Original Score is Excellent]

Now, spiffy new graphics aren't all that comes with the HALO: Anniversary.
The Kinect offers bite sized treats of awesome, simple, helpful, and the best way to piss off your buddy at any given moment. [Oh the sweet pain you can unleash with simple, verbal, commands.] You'll get what I mean, and probably laugh at the possibilities; but you'll also take note at where we're heading. Games can be so much more integrated, with the little things, to improve gameplay. It doesn't all have to be about show.

I wanted to find the video where I could post it here, but sadly I could not. So, please fallow the link below HALO: Anniversary Kinect Features - JoyStiq

As for the second bit, it's real short. With 343 Industries1st official release, they updated their web program HALO Waypoint. Form Waypiont you can now create custom challenges for your friends. (i.e. Set up a certain task, or a specific amount of kills on a person/persons, or a specific/generic Covenant foe) Each custom challenge can be given a due date for completions and 343's challenge engine award the challenge the appropriate amount of credit reward for your effort. It's awesome, and a great way too boost replay value and compete with your friends for in game currency.

"Crovel" before the 720

[It's amazing how something so beautiful could just.... melt your face right off!]

OK, first up! The Rumor Wagon is roll'n through town so fast that the dust it's kicking up spells 720. [Xbox 720 that is.] See, some people are figuring the newest Microsoft Next Gen-Console will be released holiday season next year. [That's 2012 for those of you without a calendar.]

A fella by the name, Paul Thurrott, a Technology reporter had this to say. "What I’m hearing is [The Xbox 720 is] going to come out for holidays next year, meaning that they would almost have to announce this at CES, wouldn’t they? That’s my rumor… that we’ll expect to hear something about that. They’re going the Apple route where they want this thing to integrate very tightly with Windows 8 and Windows Phone, which is a problem with the current Xbox.”

CES stand for "Consumer Electronics Show". Most of the time Developers and Publishers wait to announce major news for E3, and many games are even announced at the VGA's, but it's rumored that Microsoft wants to push a little harder on some of their products at CES  so maybe they wanna get the ol'ball a roll'n on the new console too. I guess we'll see then eh?

In other news. [Since you may be wondering why you should "Crovel"]
The Crovel: Epicness born in the shape of a tool. [Crovel - Pronounced "Crow-Vel"] is basically the Swiss-Army Kinfe's version of the shovel.

               [See?!] Crovel =======)>

The Crovel is a sharpened machete on one side, a saw on the other, a Shovel at the tip, 15 ft of rope wrapped around the handle, a hammer, crowbar, with a "Z-Spike"that you can attach to the tip, PLUS kit that can be stored inside the long handle!!!! [OMG! *Head A'sploades*] I want this! More importantly! I want this in every game that uses a melee weapon! C'mon, what says rugged quite like carting around a Crovel?! Imagine how useful this would be during the undead Apocalypse! [Zombies be doomed! I hope they're ready to be re-dead... uh, again.] Seriously amazing. I want!

Original Score Recorded for Another Round, Speakers Set to 11

[This is What Awesome Sounds Like!]

HALO: Combat Evolved's original score; some of the most iconic music in the business. It was written by the masters, Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori Now, ten years later the music is getting the revamp treatment just like the rest of the original game. It's been re-recorded at Skywalker Ranch, and now boasts HALO: Anniversary's original score, with the sound and clarity brought to you by today's technology. Not only that but you're getting more! [Say what?! More?!] Yes, MORE!

A New Dabut at the VGA's

[He really should be wearing a helmet.]

BioWare, they good guys who brought us, Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic and many more are now teasing their new original title. This image here of their new game is the first taste. We don't have a name to go with the photo, but apparently there will be exploding jeeps, and a desert, and gravity... so that's a bit to go on. Either way, this December, during the VGA's (Video Game Awards) for the official reveal, name and all.

Oooh, Gritty.... In an Awesome Kind of Way

[Rainbow 6 in it's "Big Boy Pants"]

Ubisoft has a concept gameplay video on their severs. They feel that, inevitably, it'll be leaked by the office's "closet jerk". He's they guy that secretly decides the information needs to come out right now, not later; or he thinks it's so cool he just can't keep a lid on it any longer. Either way Ubisoft wasn't about to sit on it's thumbs and wait for that. So they polished the video up a bit and released it now in a kind of, "Here's what we're going for", kind of way. This newest edition to the Rainbow 6 series is gearing up to be the grittiest of the bunch. They're setting up the player to fall into a set of seriously tough, on the spot, choices. You'll see in the video posted below; which is amazing by the way. I was surprised by it, and a bit excited. Ubisoft ain't mess'n around with this game.

[Dang....]

Sometimes you've got to make the hardest choices in the span of a few short seconds. [Either way, the dude with the bomb vest and dead-man-trigger, had to go.] It sucked, yeah but there was no saving him, and no point in letting pity kill everybody else on the bridge. Dude needed to take a swim, like it or not. Bottom line: even thought it wasn't "Actual Gameplay", that's what Ubisoft is aiming for. I like what I saw. I'm certainly going to keep my eye on the title as it develops. Should be a hell-of-a ride.

Rainbow 6 is Back!

[Finally!]

Well, it happened, we all knew it inevitably would. Rainbow 6 is a very popular 1st person shooter with Tam Clancy's name all over it. [literally] If you're a fan of any of the Rainbow 6 titles, you should now be sufficiently psyched that the word is official. Diehard fans from way back in the day when Rainbow 6 was a paperback novel will be salivating for a chance to get in on the action again. Heck even the guys and gals that picked it up along the way or even as recently as Rainbow 6: Vegas or Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 will find just as meany reasons to get excited. Especially since the Hype Gears are already turning.

Sadly the official release estimate is 2013, so yeah it's a ways away, but at least we know it's coming. Screen shots are already popping up and you can find them on websites like Joystiq. But it's coming!

Now, for the Battlefield 3 owners, or near future owners. Do you like schnazy things? Do you enjoy things that sparkle and shine? [Op, got your attention now don't I?] Are you a man or woman with class and a fantastic sense of style even on the battlefield? Then boy howdy do I have good news for you! Those tattered old dog tags of yours with just your name and rank and serial number on it is sooo last year. Now you can bling'em up with a style your own. Maybe carve a sweet looking skull on it,[Ooh yeah, sweet] or a pack of kick'n wolves on the hunt, [Lone Wolf or Pack Hunter, baby!] whatever it is that tickles your fancy. Dog tags don't have to be bland, but grand! [I know, I know. I'm so sorry I used that... really.] In Battlefield 3 this is a reality! And the boys and girls at EA wanna help you express yourself. All's you has to do is watch a sweet movie trailer on their website. Then you pick your system, log in to your EA account and bam. Style central, for FREE! [And by FREE! I mean money, 'cause you spent cold hard time on watching the trailer.] But it didn't suck, the trailer wasn't so bad.

Alright, here's the link. Act of Valor
