Ever wonder when playing HALO 3 why you're "Skill" was a 39 out of 50 and no matter how hard you try you can't seem to get your number higher? Or maybe it fluctuates between 37 - 45. (I know that's a rather big number difference but work with me here.)
Then the answer you've been looking for has been released by the writers at "Popular Mechanics."

[Read it!]
They tell you clear as day, the super power "True Skill" system did it's job, you just didn't know what it's job was. True Skill, tuned as it was for HALO 3 was able to properly label you in a skill list, in at least Ten Games. That means your Skill number on HALO 3 was fluff, a lazy, poor example of what True Skill was measuring, you're True Skill!
The only players who want to know their skill are those whom are really good at the game.
I'm beginning to repeat the article, you should read it, it's enlightening and entertaining.
As a final word I leave this post with this. "HALO IS CRAZY SAUSAGE AWESOME! Pssshhh, I love it!" ;)
